Que signifie une semence biologique certifiée ?

Que la plante mère a été cultivée selon le cahier des charges biologique, sans pesticides ni engrais de synthèse, et qu'un organisme indépendant l'a vérifié. Nos semences biologiques sont certifiées par Ecocert Canada, et chaque fiche nomme le producteur.

Faut-il des semences bio pour faire un jardin bio ?

Pour un potager familial, non : ce sont vos pratiques au jardin qui comptent. Choisir des semences biologiques soutient toutefois une filière sans pesticides et donne des plants déjà adaptés à ces conditions de culture. Pour une production certifiée, la semence biologique est exigée.

Quelle différence entre biologique et Culture Nature ?

Les deux sont cultivées sans pesticides ni engrais de synthèse. La mention biologique s'accompagne d'une certification par Ecocert ; Culture Nature désigne des producteurs qui appliquent les mêmes méthodes sans être certifiés, souvent de très petites fermes pour qui la certification est trop coûteuse.
