The Culture Nature guarantee
Our producers, Yves Gagnon, Diane Mackay, and Martin Drouin from Saint-Didace, Gabriel Blanchet from Saint-Émilie-de-l'Énergie, and Eveline from Saint-Damien, have always worked in the Culture Nature ( Natural Culture) method. They respect the life of the soil as well as the biodiversity of the environment where they grow their crops. They do not use any synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.
What is Culture Nature?
The Culture Nature Guarantee is a free, civic-minded, eco-responsible initiative designed for small, locally sourced producers to offer a guarantee of the quality of the products sold. This guarantee is based on meetings and information exchanges between producers and their customers. This initiative relies on the goodwill of the parties, and the bond of trust and reciprocity they establish.
The producer who wishes to participate in the Culture Nature initiative and use the logo associated with it undertakes to:
Carry out production with total respect for soil life and the biodiversity of the environment where the crop is grown.
Do not use synthetic fertilizers or synthetic pest control products that could contaminate the soil and food produced.
Allow traceability of products sold at all times.
Offer customers the opportunity to meet with the producer to ask questions about their practices. These meetings can take place at the production site, at the delivery point, at a public market, or in a local store. They can also be conducted by telephone, email, or any other means of communication deemed appropriate by both parties.
The idea for this evolving, civic and free initiative germinated in the mind of Yves Gagnon.
