This green manure has been cultivated in Quebec for a long time. It is used to prepare, enrich, and cleanse the soil. It is very effective at clearing weeds from the soil. It thrives in sandy soils but also grows well in clay soils. As it does not tolerate frost, it should be established from early June to early September. Its magnificent white flowers attract a multitude of beneficial insects, which is why it is tilled under at the decline of its flowering.
