Quelle laitue résiste le mieux à la chaleur ?

Jéricho, développée pour les étés israéliens, puis Merveille des Quatre Saisons et Reine des Glaces. Semez-les pour juillet-août, à la mi-ombre, avec un arrosage quotidien.

Pourquoi mes graines de laitue ne lèvent pas en été ?

La laitue entre en dormance au-dessus de 25 °C. Semez en soirée, arrosez à l'eau froide, couvrez d'une planche ou d'un carton jusqu'à la levée, ou faites germer au frigo 48 heures avant de semer.

Jusqu'à quand semer la laitue au Québec ?

Jusqu'à la mi-septembre au jardin, sous couverture flottante pour les derniers semis. Les cultivars pommés résistants comme Reine des Glaces tiennent jusqu'aux gelées de novembre.
