When to plant garlic?

Garlic is planted in the fall, generally between mid-September and mid-November, before the ground freezes. This allows the bulbs to develop roots before winter.

How deep should garlic cloves be planted?

Plant the cloves about 5–7 cm deep, with the pointed end facing upward. Space them 15–20 cm apart from each other.

What is special about Music garlic?

Music garlic is known for its very large bulbs and its mild, sweet flavor. It is a hardneck garlic variety that stores well and is particularly well suited to the Quebec climate.

How should I store garlic before planting?

Store the bulbs in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Avoid refrigerating them, sealing them in airtight containers, or storing them in damp areas.

Is garlic suitable for all regions of Quebec?

Hardneck garlic varieties are generally well suited to cold climates. However, the planting date should be adjusted according to your hardiness zone.
