Frequently asked questions

Is basil an annual or a perennial?

In Quebec, basil is grown as an annual outdoors. It does not tolerate frost and must be replanted each year.

How do I harvest basil?

Harvest basil by cutting the stems just above a leaf node. This encourages branching and promotes fuller, more productive growth.
