À propos Milkweed Syriaca (common)

Syriaca milkweed (common) is an undemanding plant that thrives in poor soil. It is native. It is essential to the life cycle of the Monarch butterfly by housing and feeding its caterpillar before its migratory journey. Milkweed is the only plant species on which female monarchs lay their eggs and feed on them.

Plant height: 90 to 120 cm. Flowering in June and July.

Stratification required for spring germination or sow in the fall without stratification. Produced in Varennes by Planète SOS in Culture Nature.
