À propos Malabar spinach

Originally from India, Malabar spinach tolerates heat but fears frost. A climbing tropical plant, very ornamental. The mucilaginous leaves can be eaten raw or cooked, sometimes used to replace okra to thicken soups and stews. The juice of the fruits can be used as ink or food coloring or a reddish-purple dye. Produces continuously until frost. Climbing cultivar. H: 2 m.
