Comment protéger les choux des chenilles sans traiter ? +
Un filet anti-insecte posé dès la transplantation et gardé jusqu'à la récolte. Le papillon ne peut pas pondre, donc pas de chenilles. En complément, le BTK est un traitement biologique efficace.
Quand semer les choux de conservation au Québec ? +
À la fin mai pour une transplantation au début de juillet et une récolte en octobre. Ils ont besoin de 90 à 110 jours et gagnent en saveur avec les gelées.
Pourquoi mes choux ne pomment-ils pas ? +
Manque de nourriture, manque d'eau ou plants trop serrés. Compost généreux, arrosage régulier et 45 cm entre les plants. Une transplantation trop tardive en été peut aussi empêcher la pommaison avant les grands froids.
