Herbionik^® Eco-Rustik Creeping Thyme 

Use this perennial as a ground cover to replace your lawn.

IN DETAIL: Thyme is slow to germinate. It takes a minimum of 3 weeks to start germinating, under optimal conditions:

• the soil temperature must have reached 18-20°C
• the soil must be kept moist at all times until germination: a minimum of 3 weeks
• the seeds are placed on the soil without covering them with earth
• mix the bag well before sowing to ensure that the thyme seeds are homogeneous with the buckwheat hulls.

Thyme seeds are tiny: make sure the seeds are in contact with the soil. Once sown, gently press the sown area with your hands to ensure contact between the seeds and the soil.

It can even take 4-5 weeks for germination to begin. Therefore, it can take 1-2 season(s) before you have a surface completely covered with flowering thyme.

Watering the soil to keep it moist is also a factor to consider. The seed needs moisture to germinate.
