À propos of the lateriflorous skullcap

A well-known calming plant, this perennial lamiaceae appreciates moist soil and partial shade.

Germination in 2 to 6 weeks!

Plant height: 40-60 cm.

Skullcap is best grown in a lightly shaded area. It is planted in rich, deep, moist, but well-drained soil. It requires a good supply of mature compost and regular watering, especially at the beginning of growth.
Plants can be started from seed in April; transplant the seedlings into trays and acclimatize them before transplanting them 30 cm apart in the garden after the risk of frost has passed. Skullcap can then be propagated by dividing plants in May or September. It depletes the soil where it has grown. It is best to change its location every 2 years.
