Lambert horticultural perlite is produced by the extreme heating of volcanic rocks. It is light and airy, which improves soil drainage. Incorporated into growing mixes, it is ideal for plants with high aeration or drainage needs. It is an excellent substrate for cuttings. Perlite can be firmly compressed around cuttings to provide the necessary support for the formation of a root system.
