Fine herbs

From the earth to the table

By Lili Michaud

Herbs, from the earth to the table is intended as a practical reference tool for anyone who wants to grow and cook these wonderful plants. It is abundantly illustrated and one recognizes the simple and popular style that made Lili Michaud's books so popular.

Gardeners will learn how to use herbs in cooking, and cooks will inevitably be inspired to experiment with growing them. As for gourmets, they will enjoy discovering the wonderful world of herbs.

The book profiles 32 herbs. It includes staples such as basil and thyme, but also epazote and perilla, whose virtues the reader will discover. The herbs are presented from their origins to their use in cooking, including how to propagate and cultivate them. A recipe is associated with each of them. Some are recipes the author has been using for several years, but most are original recipes created by Marie-Lou Roy.

For the pleasure of gardeners, cooks and gourmets!
