The Jiffy Pellet is an all-in-one product: an open-sided container, a net, and a growing medium. It's easy to use, economical to ship, and easily replants, either in a larger container or directly into the ground.

PLA net
Reducing the use of plastic in packaging and production is a major global issue. Jiffy is working to eliminate PE and PP plastics in favor of PLA mesh for all its pellets. PLA is a very fine mesh composed of polylactic acid. It is made from 100% renewable materials such as starch. With a carbon footprint 65% lower than that of polypropylene plastic, PLA is plant-based and contains no fossil-based plastics. Specially designed for crops, it is biodegradable, compostable under controlled industrial conditions, and certified according to the harmonized European standard EN13432.
