Garden cress is a biennial herbaceous plant, morphologically similar to watercress. Its angular stem bears dark green leaves divided into leaflets. Its yellow flowers, gathered in terminal clusters, produce the seed pods. Garden cress can reach 60 cm in height. It is the easiest type of cress to grow in the vegetable garden. Its flavor is similar to watercress, but more pungent.
