Portage Seeds and Ancestral Nursery
Located on an Appalachian mountain, at an altitude of over 1,500 feet in the countryside of St-Julien, one of the highest villages in Quebec, the Ancestral Nursery specializes in grafting fruit trees for northern regions with special characteristics such as disease resistance. They also specialize in new fruit crops that have been tested in our climate. They cultivate their trees ecologically with the greatest respect for nature . Some of the plants are reproduced by seed in order to preserve biodiversity.
Horticulturists from father to son, their family has been grafting and propagating fruit trees for over 30 years.
